THE PRACTICE
NOTICE BOARD

30 July 2008

Over the past few months we have been busy recruiting into our practice team. During April we were joined by Dr Nicola Harker and Dr Catherine England and close on their heels, in May, Dr Emily Currie. On 1 August Dr Michael Jenkins will be joining the team and we will have equal male and female GPs in order to offer choice to our patients.
On the nursing staff we are pleased to welcome Sister Sharon Manning who comes with a wealth of her own practice nursing experience to enhance that already available.
To make the most of your appointment please be guided by our reception staff as to the best practice member to see and the best way to book. If you are able to book in advance we have appointments available each day for each GP which can be pre-booked up to four weeks in advance. If you wish to access a GP on the day then please ring at 8.30am for morning appointments and 12 midday for afternoon appointments. You may also be asked if a face-to-face appointment is required or whether a telephone consultation will suffice. It has been increasingly popular for GPs to deal with queries that do not require an examination over the phone.
If you are already under the care of one particular practitioner it is always best to see them however this is not always possible as we only have one full-time GP in the practice.
