The Practice Team

Practice Manager - responsible for the administration, personnel and finance of the practice. We hope that you will feel able to approach her in the first instance should you or your family have any concerns or complaints about the standard of service that you have received from the doctors or staff at this practice.

Nurse Practitioner - trained in a range of chronic diseases & minor illness. She will sometimes deal with a problem which would more traditionally have been seen by a doctor.

Practice Nurses - run a range of health clinics and offer professional advice by appointment only. Reception can advise you of the services available.

Health Care Assistants (HCAs) - aid the doctors and nurses by taking blood and offering smoking cessation clinics. This role will expand over time.

Medical Secretaries - handle all referrals (NHS and private) to consultants and requests from solicitors and insurance companies for records and medical reports. Any queries relating to any of the above should be directed to them.

Computer Clerks - handle medical audits and keep our patient database up to date.

Receptionists - are here to help you by making appointments and advising on administrative issues.

They have been trained to ask questions in order to ascertain the urgency of your request. Please be assured that any information you give them will always be treated in confidence as they are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as doctors and nurses. If they cannot answer a query they will undertake to find someone who can.

WARNING - Owing to a shortage of robots some of our staff are human and may react unpredictably when abused, so we would ask for your patience if you are kept waiting.
